Toupee For A Day
March 7, 2012

Participants can register at htttp://toupeeforaday.com and there is no registration fee. Each participant will have a personal fundraising page from which they can tell their personal story and collect donations. Once the participants have reached a minimum fundraising goal of $40.00 for an individual and/or $150.00 for a team, their toupee will be available for pickup. On March 7^th2012, all participants will proudly wear their toupee throughout the day as they conduct their normal daily activities.

Jamie Ellacott Haircut for Cancer

Friends, family, Bearspaw members and University of Calgary gymnasts and coaches – it’s hard to believe but true - Jamie Ellacott will be cutting and donating his beautiful (now 10”) mane that will be used to make a wig for women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatments. The hair donation is handled through the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program. As Pantene Beautiful Lengths wigs are created, they are distributed for free through select Canadian Cancer Society wig banks across the country.

Proceeds will be added to the Bearspaw Ladies Legacy fundraising efforts to date and will be included in the dollar for dollar match pledged by an anonymous donor. The final cheque presentation to Wellspring Calgary is scheduled for Thursday, November 28, so let’s add another $5000 to the total while we can!

Cancer Run for Wellspring Calgary!

Cancer Run for Wellspring Calgary is a first time event hosted by local Calgary high school student Darius Kamal. Darius and 30 of his peers plan to run 11 kilometres from Wellspring Calgary to Prince's Island.
