As announced in the Throne Speech of February 22, 2006 the Province of Alberta has promised a major offensive against cancer. “This will be achieved by making a significant, long-term, strategic investment in prevention, early screening and research to make Alberta a leader in the fight against cancer,” said Lt.-Gov. Norman Kwong.

Wellspring Calgary is pleased to be working with a number of local, provincial and national organizations who share a mutual goal of reducing cancer diagnosis and death rates.

Wellspring Calgary also, however, directly responds to those who are coping with the impact of cancer everyday. From diagnosis to post-treatment, Wellspring Calgary offers person-centred healing that is so vital to quality of life.

Your contribution to Wellspring Calgary will fill the need for the social, emotional, informational and spiritual support required for total healing.

The money you give for the life, health and healing of another is blessed and empowered.

THE INVESTMENT

The Calgary Wellspring Centre

Annual operating costs for our centre are approximately $450.000.  These costs will be sustained by a $6.0MM endowment along with a combination of third-party fundraising, donations from service users, targeted annual giving campaigns and special events such as our annual golf tournament.

Operating costs are for facility & maintenance, key personnel, as well as costs associated with delivery of the service programs.

A separate
Capital Campaign is also underway. Funds from the capital campaign will be used to renovate and furnish the Wellspring Calgary facility.
